Back to School

Today, Wednesday august 22, was my first day at Georgia Perimeter College. It is small 2 year school about 20 minutes from our house. I like it, it's not hard to find anything about everyone is very helpful. The bookstore line has gotten a little out of control today, but only for the obvious reasons. My schedule isn't too bad. I am taking 13 credits which is a pretty light load, but nothing else fit in my schedule. I can only take classes two days out of the week, OK I could take more, I just didn't want to. I didn't want to have to drive down here everyday of the week. I also, still have to work so that also put a minor damper on the everyday school deal. I did get lucky on one thing though, I was able to get in-state tuition due to Sean's job. So, that saved us a ton of money, and then in one year I will be eligible for the Hope Scholarship and they pay for all of your school, so next year it will be free. Yippee!!! I forgot to mention how my trip home to California was, it was awesome. I had so much fun, seeing all of my family was exactly what I needed to lift my spirits about being away. We had a family reunion for my Moms side of the family. It was a blast. We all met in Lake Tahoe at a cabin that my cousin so graciously let us raid. We spent one day at the Lake and another day a local L.D.S. Chapel playing games and eating Delicious food. All of the games and activities were very well planned out, so there was never ever a dull moment. There was always something to do. I just had fun sitting back for a couple minutes and taking in everyone around me. There was one moment when David, my oldest brother, thought I was looking and threw a football at me and tagged me right between the ribs and brought me to my knees. It instantly knocked the wind out of me. It is always more of a shock than actually hurting all that much. I forgave him, of course, it was totally innocent. I love my brother with all my heart. Anyways, I love my family so much and being away only makes me appreciate them more when I am able to see them. Speaking of, the next time will be at Christmas, and this time Sean will be able to come, so my family will be able to get to know him more and more. I am very excited for Christmas because then school will be over. Ha ha, just kidding, the end of school just means another beginning.
