Charleston South Carolina

Mine and Sean's Labor day this year ended up being in Charleston S.C. We were fortunate enough to have had Jaime and Katie invite us to join them on a little vacation from the city. I had never been to South Carolina so I was really excited. We were also very excited because we had the opportunity to stay in a friend of the Bierne's family's home. This home was beautiful and in a very cool spot. The home sat on the edge of a golf course and with a view of the intracoastal waterway. The intracoastal waterway runs parallel with the ocean line with inlets every once in a while to the sea. Unfortunately the weather didn't quite cooperate like we would have wanted it to on Saturday and Sunday, but we made do with what we had. Finally on Monday the clouds gave us a break and Katie and I got a beautiful beach day and Sean and Jaime got an awesome golf day. The beach at Charleston is very cool because the tide come in twice a day and goes out twice a day. On Saturday Jaime's Dad, Clark, took us out on his boat and as we got closer to the inlet of the ocean the tide was going out so fast that you could notice the tidal current against boats and docks that were near to inlet. I had never seen that before so I thought that that was kinda cool. I also had a dream come true on the boat that day, we saw tons and tons of dolphins. I was so excited, I'm kind of weird like that, to see so many dolphins. They were up and down out of the water and all around the boat. Oh yeah, on Monday on our way to the beach I finally saw an alligator, it wasn't the whole thing like I had waited to see the entire weekend, but it was the spikes in top of it that were poking out of the water. I didn't get any pictures of the animals because it all happened to fast. I wish I could have though.Well, we have a great weekend, we spent lots of time with eachother which is always nice and never gets old. I am looking forward to the next time we get to return to the cute little quaint beach town of Charleston South Carolina.
