Last night Sean, Katie, Jaime and I went to a concert in Atlanta. It was called the Flip Flop Summer Tour. The performers included, Pat Green, Sugarland and Kenny Chesney. This started out to be a fantastic concert, I mean when Pat Green opens you know it's bound to be a good one. Sure enough, he did a great job. Sugarland was next, I wasn't too familiar with them, but I recognized some of their songs. Their lead singer is a girl, and they covered Beyonce's song Irreplaceable. Sean and I were a bit shocked, they did a good job, but it was still kind of out of place. Then there was the last performance, Kenny. That is basically why everyone is there to begin with. He is an incredible entertainer. He sounds awesome and is a great performer. Then it started, Kenny is up there and singing along, then in the middle of one of his songs he says that he wants to bring out a special guest, this special guests just happened to be Dave Matthews. So he comes out playing the guitar and singing.
Then when Kenny's song was over Dave played 'Where are you going' acoustic! It was incredible. We were all so excited. Next song Kenny sings is 'When the Sun Goes Down', now we are all thinking how crazy would it be if Uncle Kracker came out and started singing this song with him... Sure enough Kenny introduces another guest and Uncle Kracker comes walking on the stage. Everyone is going crazy by this time. When they were finished singing that song they proceeded to sing an Uncle Kracker song, and then out of know where a Kid Rock song, 'Cowboy'. That was hilarious, watching Kenny try to rap was so funny, he couldn't quite keep up with the words.
Uncle Kracker leaves the stage and Kenny sings another song, then another and finally it was bound to be sung, 'She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy'. We are all singing along and low and behold he invites another special guest on stage, Dierks Bentley. So they're up there singing with each other, Kenny is messing with them and they are having a great time, in the mean while we are being thoroughly entertained by all this. We are all thinking to ourselves there is no way he could bring out in other special guests, sure enough Kenny does it again and invites Joe Walsh on stage. I guess he used to play for the Eagles, I don't know. Anyways, so him and Kenny are up there jammin' out and having a good time. During one of the songs Joe sang all of the special guests, Pat Green and Sugarland came out on stage and they all sang and played guitars together, it was amazing.
I know that this was all very long, but I just had to share it with everyone. I was blown away by this concert, for sure the best concert I have ever been to.
