Snowboarding in Cataloochee...

A week or so ago we all decided that we should take a trip up to North Carolina for a snowboarding weekend. So on friday we left Jamie and Katie's house around 8:00 pm and headed to the mountains. We made it to Maggie Valley around midnight, it took us so long because we had stopped to eat then stopped again to gas up and use the bathroom...Sean and Jamie love traveling with two girls. It was a rough night of sleep in the hotel, none of us really got a solid nights sleep like we needed. 6:30 rolled around and we were all up and ready for a quick breakfast then on the road again for another half hour drive up the mountain to the snow. When we finally made it to the top we were one of the first people there and then had to wait for them to open the slopes, but as soon as they did we were up there and ready for a day full of fun. That is what we got was a full day of fun, falls, crashes and accomplishments. What I mean by accomplishments is that Ashley can now go toe side, yes it's true I can do it now, for those who don't know I have been struggling with this since I started snowboarding 3 years ago. I know that sounds like a long time but in those 3 years I have only been snowboarding 4 times, so this was a huge personal accomplishment and it's all thanks to Sean, he never gave up on me and was by my side the entire day. Thanks Sean!!! Our day ended around 3:30pm so it was a really long day but worth every butt ache, knee bruise and cricked neck pain.
