Back to School...

It's that time again... I'm going back to school, except this time there is an end in sight. I start massage therapy school on the 17th and I am so excited, I have finally found something that I am really really excited about doing. School is only 8 and half months long so I will be done and on my way to a real job two days before Thanksgiving. When I started my search for massage therapy schools I was a little lost with the whole thing for the simple reason that how do you know what school is the best? What if I can't find a job after school? So, I visited a couple technical schools that also had medical assisting and a few other programs, and none of those really hit home for me, I always left with questions in mind. Then I was introduced to a massage therapy school from a friend at work called ASHA (Academy of Somatic Healing Arts), so I checked it out online and decided to give it a visit. As soon as I met with someone there I knew I had found it, I found the school that fit. It is a smaller school and everyone that works there from the financial aid to the admissions lady, they are all massage therapists. Everyone that works there is so passionate about massage and what they do and take great pride in healing the human body. That is exactly how I feel about going to massage therapy school, I want to learn how to heal the body and help make people feel better when they are in pain. I like the idea of being the person someone can call when they are in pain and being there to make them feel better. I am just really excited and I just want to thank my sister-in-law Whitney for really giving me the idea and inspiration to go check out different schools... Thanks WHIT!!!
